WATER
 A.    To the skin.

1.      Water supplies essential nutrients to the skin cells, which is required for it to retain its moisture.

2.      The consumption of an adequate amount of water is effective in keeping the skin glistering compared to any skincare product. It keeps the skin natural, not suffering from the negative side effect that might arise from using skincare products.

3.      Water prevents the occurrence of many skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis, and wrinkles. Adequate water intake increases the rate of a metabolic and digestive system able to remove toxins from the body, thereby, leaving the skin glowing and healthy.

4.      Research shows that the skin is the last organ of the body that gets water. This means that when water is consumed, it gets to other organs of the body before getting to the skin.

Therefore, taking about 8 glasses of water daily will help the skin enjoy the full benefits present in water. Note that cold water helps to close up pores thereby reducing the chances of having skin acne.

5.      Lack of an adequate amount of water will make the skin dry. This can begin to crack and become itchy. Staying hydrated helps to maintain moisturized skin.

6.      The pores on our skin get enlarged and clogged as we go about our regular day to day activities. Staying hydrated will help to balance water and oil on the surface of the skin thereby reducing the size of pores and in turn reduces blemishes to the barest minimum.

7.      Water helps to tighten the skin around the stomach, arms, jawline, and legs which had occurred as a result of aging or sagging.

Further, water improves skin elasticity thereby making it bounce back. Since the skin is the largest organ of the body, it requires water in an adequate amount to function well.

So, staying hydrated will help the skin to function at its best.

B.    To the Hair.

Here are some of the specific benefits the hair gets when the body is kept hydrated.

1.      Water is a major ingredient that helps to support the vitamins required for hair growth. So, dehydration can lead to poor hair growth most especially in women.

2.      Water contributes to making up about 25% of the weight of the hair. Inadequate water will affect the weight of the hair making it fall off easily especially when other nutrients are also missing.

3.      Also, being hydrated helps to eliminate the occurrence of hair problems like dandruff. This is because triggers the energy at the scalp of the hair.

4.      Interestingly, water is said to be a natural and perfect setting lotion that does not contain chemicals that can cause damage to the hair.

5.      Water prevents the hair from accumulating dirt and other substances such as toxins and oil that might be present.

6.      Water helps the hair to become thicker and fuller. This is because water keeps the hair cells hydrated therefore making it function perfectly by growing well and fast.

It is important to note that it is better to use cold water to rinse your hair than using hot water. Hot water can damage the hair, thereby contributing to hair loss.

C.    To health.

As earlier stated, water takes about 50% of the human make up. Water, therefore, cannot be separated from man as it provides numerous benefits to the total well-being of man.

2.      That produces saliva that helps to start up the digestion of food.

3.      Adequate water help to keep the nose and the eye moist.

4.      It is interesting to know that blood which is the life of a man, contains 90% of water, where water is in the right proportion, oxygen is adequately supplied to all the parts of the body.

5.      Water is responsible for the production of neurotransmitters (a chemical that helps impulse to be transmitted from one cell to another). Dehydration can cause the brain to malfunction thereby leading to thinking and reasoning problems.

6.      The digestive system requires water to function properly, preventing the body from having problems such as the acidic stomach, heartburn, etc

7.      Water helps to maintain the rate of blood pressure. This is an important benefit of water that should not be ignored.

Thousands die of high blood pressure daily, water can help to minimize if not eradicating it.
